The Parsons Sun publishes Monday through Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
15% Agency Discount to recognized advertising agencies only. Local rates are non-commissionable. All advertising is cash prior to publication unless prior approval has been granted. All accounts are due by the 15th of the following month. Balance forwarded will be subject to a 1 1/2% service charge each month (18% per annum). No credit allowed when balance is 90 days or more past due. The Parsons Sun reserves the right to refuse any advertising. Position request will be met when possible but not guaranteed. The Parsons Sun assumes no responsibility for errors when proof has been shown to the advertiser or his representative. In case of advertising error, the Sun's liability will not exceed the cost of portion in error. The gutter will be charged as one column for anything less than a full double (258 inches) spread. A border of at least hairline (.25 point) must appear around the outer edge of all advertisements. If an advertisement does not come with such a border, the composing room will supply it. The Parsons Sun does not accept brokered advertising. Alcoholic beverage and tobacco advertising is accepted. Advertising simulating new-style copy will carry "advertisement" acrosse the copy. Typestyle will be different than that of the Sun news content. Political Advertisement - The local net rate will be charged to all candidates who place thier ads directly with us. Cash must be submitted with all orders. All regulations on political adverstising apply.
Call the Parsons Sun Advertising Dept. for further information regarding frequency rates/contracts. The Parsons Sun offers TOTAL MARKET COVERAGE of the multi-county area through County Line. This is through a combination of its subscribers and by direct mail to the nonsubscribers. Inserts can be in the Sun any publishing day of the week and are mailed to nonsubscribers each Wednesday. A handling cost of $50 will be charged if insertion to subscribers and non-subscribers is on different days.

Daily tearsheets will be delivered within the city limits upon request. CO-OP - Our sales staff can assist you in utilizing and applying for available co-op funds. Direct Mail - Flyers can be designed, printed, labeled, presorted and mailed to select customers, prospects and areas of your choice. We have specific mailing lists for your target audience for direct mail or combination solo mail and newspaper distribution. Creative Services - Exclusive logo design and artwork services are available. Newsletters, fliers and brochures can be designed and typeset for your commercial printing needs to tie in with your newspaper advertising. The department is staffed with creative professionals experienced in layout, copy writing, illustration and design.
Minimum space sold is one column inch. Advertising is then sold in 1/4 inch increments. Advertisements over 19" will be billed as 21 1/2 inches. DEADLINES All classified display ads have a deadline of noon the day before publication. Classified word ads must be in by 1 p.m. the day before publication. TV Scene is a weekly supplement published every Friday
containing comprehensive TV listings, both local and cable, for the entire
area. TV Scene is tabloid size, 13" deep and 5 columns wide. Please
